Monthly fee increase for tenant-owned apartments 2024

The board has decided to raise the fees to 840 kr/m2/year from the previous 732 kr/m2/year. The fee will be increased from 1 January 2024.

This corresponds to, for example:

No. of RoomsAreaCost IncreaseNew monthly fee
259 m2+531 kr/month4 130 kr/month
367 m2+603 kr/month4 690 kr/month
379 m2+711 kr/month5 530 kr/month
489 m2+801 kr/month6 230 kr/month

As a result of sharply rising interest rates, inflation and higher prices, the association's expected costs continue to increase. Among other things, the cost of garbage collection will increase by approx. 25%, water by approx. 48%, district heating by approx. 6.5%. The cost of security services also increases with a new extended agreement, and the board unfortunately considers that this is necessary under current circumstances.

The board is constantly working actively to review existing costs in order to find ways to streamline and reduce costs. However, to ensure the association's long-term financial sustainability the fee increase is necessary. Many housing associations are facing similar increases.

We can all help to reduce the association's costs and increase income. Leave garbage in the designated place and do not litter, close windows and doors when it is cold outside, report damage in public areas so it can be fixed, tell friends about the possibility to rent garage space, and get involved in the association's safety-enhancing work such as the Neighbourhood Watch, and report to the police in case of crime.

Lessee tenants (staying on rent) are not affected by the increase in the fee; the rent level is negotiated separately with the Tenant's Association.
